5 easy-peasy mocktail recipes

It doesn’t take too much effort to make the non-drinkers at your party feel welcome and special. These mocktail recipes are easy and affordable to put together. And best of all, they all go with vodka so you can just leave a bottle next to these mocktails to let guests who want to booze up help themselves. Win-win!

1. Virgin Watermelon Margarita

1 large watermelon, cut into chunks

1/3 cup fresh lime juice

4 tsp sugar syrup

1/3 cup soda water

Blend everything except for the soda water until it’s a smooth puree. Top with soda water. Rim glasses with salt and pour into cups!

2. Lemon Thyme Sparkler

A few sprigs of fresh thyme

6 lemons

1 litre of soda water

½ cup honey

Make the honey and thyme syrup by heating the honey and half the amount of thyme over low heat in a pan.

Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool completely. Remove thyme stems from the syrup.

Add the juice of four lemons to the syrup.

Slice the other two lemons into rounds.

In each glass, add 2 tablespoons of the syrup, a few slices of lemon and top up with soda water. Stir and garnish with thyme.

3. Orange “Mimosas”

Orange concentrate

Soda water

Rosemary sprigs

Pour a tablespoon of orange concentrate into each glass.

Top up with soda water

Gently roll a rosemary sprig in between your hands to release its natural aroma and use as garnish.

4. Mint Julep Mocktail

10 fresh mint leaves

One lime, sliced into quarters

2 teaspoons of sugar syrup

1 cup of soda water

Place mint leaves at the bottom of a glass.

Add lime juice and sugar.

Muddle the ingredients together to release the aromas of the mint and lime.

Fill the glass with ice and top up the glass with soda water.

5. Frozen berries sparklers

Frozen berries

Soda Water

Sugar syrup

Lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in a tall glass and give it a good stir.
